Smoothies are an amazing, healthy and delicious way to put nutrients to your body. There are smoothies for almost every health issue. People don’t always lookout for weight loss; those who are naturally lean or thin need to gain weight and commercially available supplements can have their own side effects. It can be tempting to use the need to gain weight as an excuse to eat anything and everything that tempts you, but hold on! Eating junk can add on to unwanted bad cholesterol that can lead to other health problems. Here are some easy and effective high-calorie weight gain smoothie recipes:
BANANA PEANUT BUTTER SMOOTHIE
Things you need: To make this smoothie, you need 1 whole medium sized banana, 2 tablespoons peanut butter, 1 cup milk and 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional).
Method: slice the bananas roughly and put it in the blender. Now add peanut butter and milk to it. Add some brown sugar and blend everything properly. Blend it until you get a smooth texture. Do not forget to add ice cubes in the blender while you work. You are done!
CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER SMOOTHIE
Things you need: To make this smoothie, you need 1 cup raw milk, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon cacao powder, 1 serving chocolate protein bar and 2 tablespoons peanut butter.
Method: Add milk, cacao powder, chopped chocolate protein bar and peanut butter into the blender along with some ice cubes. Blend everything well until you get a smooth and thick texture. Consume during your breakfast.
AVOCADO SMOOTHIE
Things you need: To make this smoothie, you need ½ cup full fat greek yoghurt, ½ avocado mashed, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, and 1 teaspoon coconut oil.
Method: Add yoghurt, avocado mashed, chia seeds and coconut oil into the blender. Blend everything properly. If you feel the texture is very thick, you can add some more yoghurt with little water and blend it again.
Note: If you like the texture of soaked-gelled chia seeds, you can soak it in water and add it in the smoothie after blending.
STRAWBERRY CREAM SMOOTHIE
Things you need: To make this smoothie, you need 2 cups fresh and sweet strawberries, 6-7 cashew nuts, ½ cup fresh cream and milk if needed to adjust consistency.
Method: Add frozen strawberries, cashew nuts and cream into a blender. Blend everything well until you get a smooth and thick texture. Add milk to adjust consistency. Consume during your breakfast.
WALNUT SMOOTHIE
Things you need: To make this smoothie, you need handful of walnuts, ½ apple, 1 banana and 1 cup milk.
Method: Add banana, milk, apple and walnuts in a blender and blend it until smooth. You can also add jaggery syrup, honey or brown sugar to it if you like it sweeter. Consume chilled.
