USES OF CASTOR OIL ON FACE

Castor oil has been used for many skin, health and hair problems since ages. I remember my grandmother recommending this oil for so many problems.

Castor oil is extracted from castor seed and it is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory in nature. It is also used in many soaps and cosmetics which prove that it is highly beneficial and effective.

USES OF CASTOR OIL ON THE FACECastor oil  Skincare Treatment:

Applying oil on face sounds a little weird but it gives you the most amazing and satisfying results. The oil is sticky in nature but you can always dilute it with water or other oils to get rid of the greasy feeling. This oil can be used by ALL skin-types. Yes, when I say all, I mean oily skin too. I’m sure you must have read “like dissolves like”, so using oil on face will eventually prevent excess oil secretion because “oil dissolves oil”. I hope now you’re convinced of using castor oil on face so here are various ways you can start including it in your routine now:

Uneven Pigmented skin: Castor oil is infused with omega-3 and fatty acids which helps in treating pigmented uneven skin. Simply take one tablespoon of castor oil and mix a pinch of turmeric into it. Massage it on your face in circular and upward motion for around 15 minutes and then let it stay for another 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water 2-3 times to get rid of the oil residue completely. Repeat it 2-3 times a week and you’ll see improvement in your complexion.

Acne-prone skin: Castor oil is high in Ricinoleic acid which kills and treats the acne-causing bacteria. If you’re tired of using expensive creams and lotion then you need to try castor oil now. First, rinse your face with warm water to open the pores. Now take around one tablespoon of castor oil and start massaging it all over your face in circular motion. After you’re done, take a towel and soak it in hot water. Now put this soaked towel on your face for 5-10 minutes, the warmth from the towel will penetrate the oil deeply. Now rinse the oil with cold water and use toner to close pores.

Moisturizer: Castor oil is the best natural moisturizer you’ll ever find. You can use it as night treatment. After cleansing your face, take small amount of castor oil and massage it on your skin. Let it stay overnight and next morning rinse off with cold water. You’ll wake with hydrated and glowing skin.
