by Surabhi Pisal

Hey everyone, this review will be on a foundation by L’Oreal. Recently I was on hunt for a good foundation and this particular one by L’Oreal seemed quite interesting to me because of the name and the whole liquid powder thing, let us get into the details.

Product description: Get the ultimate un-makeup look with Magic Nude Liquid Powder Bare Skin Perfecting Makeup with SPF 18. Revolutionary liquid transforms on contact, leaving a soft powder like finish. This foundation is so amazingly lightweight it’s like wearing no makeup at all! Just shake and apply – its magic!

L’OREAL MAGIC NUDE LIQUID POWDER

My Experience: The packaging of this foundation is so different from all other foundations I have seen. It comes in a cute tinted glass bottle which is rectangular in shape and has a purple screw cap. But since it is a glass bottle I have to be careful while handling it. The foundation comes in many shades and I have the color sun beige, it matches my medium skin tone nicely.

The foundation is very runny and liquid like, initially one can end up pouring more quantity then needed due to the consistency but after few uses one gets used to it. The formulation of L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder is amazing. It applies very easily with least efforts and blends in so smoothly. In spite of being a foundation it practically feels like I am not wearing anything which is very impressive and the best thing it has not caused any breakouts on my skin. Just like the name suggests the foundation applies in a liquid form but settles down to a powder like finish once blended imparting a soft matte look. Since it has a matte finish dry skin might not like it as much but for my oily skin it works amazingly. It has a good oil control properties which is especially needed for the summers.

Very little foundation is needed for each application and it offers natural looking coverage hiding any minor flaws giving an even base, to cover prominent discoloration or blemishes a concealer will be needed. It stays fresh for a decent time on my skin for around 6 hours and can be easily touched up if needed.

Pros:

  • Great texture
  • Has natural looking coverage
  • Feels very light and comfortable
  • Easy to apply and blend
  • Settles to a powder like matte finish
  • Stays fresh for long
  • Contains Spf
  • Did not cause breakouts

Cons:

  • Dry skin will need proper moisturisation

Price– INR 899 for 27ml.
