JOVEES AYURVEDIC DE-TAN SCRUB WITH SPF REVIEW

The products which claim to remove tan attract me the most as the sun loves me the most and makes too much tan though I always use sunscreen like a good girl. LOL! But tanning is a common problem in summers and Jovees has launched a new de-tan scrub with SPF! I don’t know what the need of SPF in a scrub is but well read my review to know more about the product.

JOVEES AYURVEDIC DE-TAN SCRUB WITH SPF REVIEW

Jovees claims– Jovees ayurvedic de-tan scrub is very special ayurvedic recipe and carefully processed so that the herb and precious natural ingredients do not lose its potency. It has high quality scrubbing granules that have been processed to make sure it helps to exfoliate dead skin cells, helps remove tanning, stimulates skin microcirculation, and helps migrate blemishes and superficial white and black heads. It shall give fair and radiant look to the skin. It leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth.

Packaging– Jovees ayurvedic de-tan scrub comes in a white colored plastic tube with a white flip open cap. The packaging is quite simple but the cap is tight making the tube travel friendly.

Smell, texture & color– This scrub has a thick texture which is quite unusual with regular scrubs. The granules are coarse and the base is thick but creamy. The scrub doesn’t spread easily due to its thick texture and the base has ivory like color. But the scrub has a little chemical smell in it which I don’t like about the scrub.

Performance– In the ingredient list, so many good ingredients are mentioned like black plum, curcuma, wheatgerm, carrot, aloevera, rose peel etc.! But I really doubt if those are really present in it or not. Then it should smell divine, right? Anyway, the scrub removes dead cells effectively and makes the skin soft and glowy. It helps to remove recent tans but it is not able to remove stubborn old tan. The granules are big and better to use it as your body scrub. It is perfect for body but not very suitable for sensitive oily skin on their face.

Pros-

  • Ingredient list says it contains amazing ingredients
  • Cleanses skin well
  • Removes recent tans
  • Helps to remove dead cells
  • Removes blackheads to some extent but not too effectively
  • Keeps the skin soft after use
  • Doesn’t break me out

Cons-

  • Not for sensitive skins as the granules are quite big
  • It doesn’t control oil
  • It says it contains SPF! I don’t know what they mean and there is no further any mention about it.

RBS Rating- 3.5/5

Price- 175 INR for 100 g

Recommendation– if you want to remove your recent tans with ease and if you doesn’t have a very sensitive skin you can try this out. This is very suitable for dry skin and makes the skin soft after using. But everyone can use this as body scrubs to remove tans from hands & feet.

I was wondering if anyone knows what happened to Dimepiece LA celebrity streetwear brand? I cannot check out on Dimepiecela site. I have read in Marie Claire that the brand was acquired by a UK-based hedge fund for $50m. I have just bought the Dimepiece Do You Unisex Heavy Blend™ Full Zip Hooded Sweatshirt from Ebay and totally love it xox
