    EFFECTIVE HOME REMEDIES FOR ARTHRITIS

    Arthritis affects the joints. Your knees, wrists, elbows, and hips as well as other joints are affected. You will be in pain along with inflammation. There are numerous variants of this medical condition, with rheumatoid and osteoarthritis being the most complained about. The pain and inflammation are so extensive that your mobility is affected, hampering your day to day activities.

    EFFECTIVE HOME REMEDIES FOR ARTHRITIS

    Here are few home remedies that you can try to ease the pain and improve the inflammation.

    Turmeric and ginger tea: Both these spices are rich with anti-inflammatory properties. Plus, they are also good sources of antioxidants and inflammation easing enzymes. Prepare a concoction by simmering ½ teaspoon each of ground ginger and turmeric in 500 ml water. Strain the mixture and mix in a little honey. Sip your way twice a day to ease the pain and inflammation.

    Epsom salt soak: Magnesium sulfate rich Epsom salt is well known for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Prepare a soak by dissolving about ½ cup Epsom salt in 5 liters water. Immerse the affected region in this solution for about 20 to 30 minutes.     Essential Oil Blend: Add in 5-10 drops of eucalyptus and peppermint oil together, and then mix into 1-2 tablespoons of carrier oil. Carrier oil is needed to dilute the essential oil so that it does not irritate the skin. Store the oil blend in dark glass bottle away from direct sunlight, and rub into your joints when they ache.

    Sesame seed oil with camphor: Chuck out those over the counter NSAID gels and try this homemade analgesic solution. Add 5 pieces of camphor to 3 tbsp sesame seed oil. Heat the mixture on low flame in a heatproof bowl. Apply on affected region and gently massage in circular motions. Your inflammation and pain will be put to ease. Do this twice a day.

    Apple cider vinegar: The rich presence of the minerals magnesium, calcium, phosphorous, and potassium enables ACV to be an effective analgesic agent. It also detoxifies the joints and connective tissues, hastening the healing process. Dissolve 1 tsp each of ACV and honey in 250 ml water.     Cinnamon: The aromatic spice has affluent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Prepare a concoction by dissolving ½ tsp powdered cinnamon and 1 tbsp honey in 250 ml warm water. This should be first thing consumed on empty stomach. A paste made by mixing cinnamon with honey can be applied to affected area to ease the pain and inflammation.
