Sunscreen is something I use every day, irrespective of the season and whether I am staying indoors or outdoors. I have used lotus 3-in-1 matte look sun screen for years and wanted to desperately switch to some high-end brand like Clinique. Clinique is well known for their fragrance-free products that suit all skin types including oily and sensitive skin. I don’t really have sensitive skin, but my skin is behaving a little weird these days like breaking out when I use some product! I had trust on Clinique products (thanks to the hype) and it did live up to its claims and did not break me out at all! So here is a detailed review of Clinique Super City Block Spf 40:

MY TAKE ON CLINIQUE SUPER CITY BLOCK SPF 40:
Packaging: The sunscreen comes in a long and sleek plastic tube form which looks really sophisticated. The tube is pastel green in colour with plastic silver shiny screw-cap. The cap fits properly and there is no leakage if you carry it around in your hand bag.
Texture: The sunscreen is oil-free and light weight. It has more of a gel texture than being creamy which I like. Texture is very smooth and gets easily absorbed into the skin after little massaging.
Shade: Unlike most sunscreens, this one is lightly tinted which brightens up your face; although do not expect any coverage since it is lightly tinted just like any other tinted moisturizer.
Fragrance: like I previously mentioned, Clinique products are fragrance-free!
How I use and after-effects: I take a tiny amount on my finger, about a peanut size amount and dot my entire face, including around the eyes (since it is safe to use around the delicate eye area). I simply blend the sunscreen using fingers and I am good to go. I wait or few seconds for the sunscreen to set and use a compact powder over it.
When I first used this sunscreen, I was not happy as I could see white cast and it felt a bit heavy on my face. But after few minutes the white cast vanishes completely and face becomes matte; you won’t feel anything on your face! My face felt quite moisturized yet shine-free the entire-day; quite literally! I have oily skin and I couldn’t see any shininess on my T-zone at all. It is rainy season here but still has strong sunlight when it is not raining, my skin did not tan even a bit.
