Who else hates those permanent marker stains on your clothes or walls that you can’t seem to get it off. I know I do. So after years of struggle we’ve come up with a full proof plan to remove permanent marker spots from almost everything.

Walls – People who have kids at home might be very familiar with permanent marker stains on their walls. But fret not, there’s a very easy technique to remove those marks for good. Use a toothbrush and toothpaste. First, apply toothpaste to the tile generously and try brushing off the permanent marker using an old toothbrush.

Tiles – All you need is some hairspray. Just spray some on those marks, wait for a second or two and wipe it off with a paper towel. Do this until the mark becomes invisible and there you have it, a wall Good as new. If you don’t have a hairspray, you can use regular toothpaste instead and use it the same way as the hairspray.

Carpets– What do you do when your cute little toddler drew his precious drawings on your newly bought carpet while crawling all over the house. This is a really easy way to get those stains off. You just need vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray it generously over the mark and using a rag rub it gently on the carpet. You’ll notice the mark will start to fade and eventually it’ll be gone.

Clothes – Nothing can be more frustrating than a big stain of permanent marker on your new top. Take your top and pour over some hand sanitizer on it or mist the fabric with non-oily hairspray. Using your finger, gently massage it and slowly the mark will fade away. Milk is a great way to remove stains from fabric. Fill a bowl with milk and soak the stained area of the garment in the milk.

Flat screen and Metal– This is a very familiar case when people get permanent marker stains on their TVs or a table while working. There’s an easy peasy way to bid those stains adieu. Take some toothpaste in a bowl, add a few drops of water and mix it thoroughly to make a paste. Now using your fingers, apply this paste over those marks while gently rubbing it. Just wipe it off with a dry washcloth or paper towel. A few seconds and those marks will be gone forever.

Wood, furniture and leather  – marker drawings can be a very unpleasant scene to everyone. But not anymore, because with one simple ingredient, you can remove it. All you need is some milk, rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover. Just take a washcloth, dip it in milk, remove the excess and wipe the mark with it. Gently rub it and eventually the mark will fade away. Instead of milk, you can use rubbing alcohol the same way. You can also use hair spray, spray some aerosol hairspray onto the spots and wipe away with a clean white towel.

Ways to Remove Permanent Marker stains Skin – If you get some permanent marker stains on your hands or plastic items, this simple trick will remove those marks with ease. Steep a tea bag. When it’s cool enough to handle, wipe it over the stain and watch it disappear.

Plastic – You can also soak some cotton with rubbing alcohol and hand sanitizer and gently scrub it on plastic. For stubborn stains, let the alcohol sit for a few minutes Slowly the mark will start to fade.

Ceramic, glass and Stainless Steel– Nobody likes their dishes with permanent marker stains. Use this trick to remove those stains forever. This trick requires two ingredients. Mix toothpaste and baking soda in equal parts and mix it well. Take the paste and rub it on the glass or ceramic item. Keep doing that until the mark comes off. Wash off with water.  To remove stains from glass, use a nail polish remover and rub into the stain with a clean damp cloth, then wipe off.

Whiteboard – If someone used permanent marker or pen on your whiteboard,  use a whiteboard marker to remove permanent marker. Trace over the permanent ink with a dry erase marker. Wipe off with an eraser or a paper towel.

You got to love those permanent markers because of their ability to draw on anything. But a tiny thing such as a marker can turn into a disaster if it ends up in the wrong hands. You know this better than anyone else if you have kids. But now those stains will be the least of your problems as these tricks will definitely help and make your life easier.
