Follow these tips to steam according your skin type:
Acne: Steaming is very beneficial for acne prone skin, it opens pores and gets rid of dirt and excess oils from the skin. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to the water for extra benefits.
Dry Skin: For a dry skin steam, add few drops of lavender oil to the water and follow up with a good moisturizer when the skin is still damp to keep it soft and smooth
Oily Skin: Steaming reduces and removes the excess oils from skin, adding few drops of lemon juice or green tea leaves to the water helps treat the oily skin related problems.
Sensitive Skin: Be careful not to over heat the skin, keep yourself at a distance while steaming and limit it to just 2 – 3 mins. Add green tea to the water or if you want you can use essential oil but limit it to a drop or two.
