Liquid Eye liner: Always choose a liquid eyeliner to wear on your eyes, because they absolutely suites Indian skin and whether type. Liquid eyeliner does not get smudged easily.
Waterproof Eyeliner : Always use eyeliner which is waterproof, smudge free and have long staying power. However some have love for those dry kajal pencils, no offense they are good too but I personally feel kajal pencils are good for just applying on the inner eye rims. If you need anything trendy and a good eye makeup, include smudge free eyeliner into use.
Refrigerate your eyeliner: If not always, you can certainly put your eyeliner in a refrigerator just before 10-15 minutes of application. This will help to maintain the texture and stays well on the skin and also, shake well before you use.
Dry waterline: Before you apply the eyeliner to your waterline, run a clean Q-tip along the top and bottom of your waterline to ensure a smooth application.
Oily eyes: Although we have talked about applying moisturising cream on the eye and nourishing it well, take care that you do not land up making your eye area extra oily. Too much oil is also harmful and proves dangerous hours later of applying makeup.
However if you think there is some extra oil near your eye you can always use a tissue paper to remove the extra oil. Blotting paper is also an alternative way to pull out the oil.
Use of Eye shadow: After you have applied your eyeliner, add some eye shadow over your eyes which may be from a complimenting colour. Use of eye shadow not only enhances the look, but gives a thin coating to the eyeliner which makes it stay for more time without smudging.
Use Concealer: You can flake some concealer over your eyelids so that your kajal pencil blends perfectly with the skin. You can always use the kajal pencil first and give a coating of your liquid eyeliner. This will form a strong base and will not get smudged easily.
Use a moisturiser: It is said to always moisturise the skin well before you apply any type of makeup. And yes this is a mandatory step while you are striving you make your eyeliner last longer. If you do not have a face primer you can always use a moisturising cream before you apply the eyeliner. You can moisturise the other parts as well to make your makeup last longer.
No layering: Do not go on adding layers on your eye. The more the layer the more it would get smudged. Try to make it simple and achieve an excellent finish in one single stroke. You can surely reapply if you need, but avoid too much layering.
So did you find an answer to your concern? These are few steps that would help to maintain the eyeliner stay on your longer time and you don’t need to give a touch up very often.
