Coconut oil has a number of uses in the bathroom, below I have listed some:

REASONS TO KEEP COCONUT OIL IN YOUR BATHROOMOIL PULLING

Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic dental technique which is used against harmful, inflammation-causing bacteria and toxins. You just need to swish 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in your mouth immediately after waking up in the morning before breakfast. Then spit the oil out, do not swallow it as it contains bacteria. SKIN MOISTURIZER

Coconut oil is proven to be the best natural moisturizer. It makes the skin shiny and soft, reduces scars and stretch marks and it helps in skin rejuvenation. You can apply coconut oil on your face as it makes your skin less oily by cleaning the pores from dirt. Use small amount and apply it around the eyes and face. Add few drops of coconut oil to your body wash for smoother skin in shower.

HAIR CONDITIONER

Use about half a tablespoon of coconut oil and massage into hair, starting at the roots then down to the ends. Allow the coconut oil to sit for a bit before washing. Shampoo it out and reveal smooth manageable hair! Use a small amount of coconut oil in your shampoo or conditioner. Homemade Coconut oil shampoo >>

FACE WASHING

Yep, you can actually wash your face with coconut oil! Washing face with coconut oil is called oil cleansing, and it involves mixing equal parts of coconut oil and castor oil, massaging it into your skin, and then wiping it off with a warm washcloth.

AS A DEODORIZER

Many antiperspirants contain a ton of synthetic chemicals, as well as aluminium- which has been linked to the development of Alzheimer’s, and can even make you smell worse over time. You can use a pinch of coconut oil and a drop of an essential oil like lemon or lavender instead.

SHAVING

Whether you’re shaving legs, face, pits, or naughty bits, coconut oil is great. It moisturizes skin, reduces the likeliness of razor burn, and leaves your skin feeling young and spry. You may also use it as an after-shave – simply add few drops peppermint oil to it and use it to massage skin post shaving.

MAKEUP REMOVER

Coconut oil is the best makeup remover ever! Coconut oil makes makeup removal less of a chore. Wash your face first and then use coconut oil to remove the rest. It’s less likely you’ll be going to bed with a layer of mascara, if your favourite oil is at hand.

SOOTHES SKIN INFLAMMATION AND MINOR BURNS

Apply coconut oil n minor burns, irritations, and rashes to soothe them. You can also mix it with tea tree oil, which has powerful antibacterial and antiseptic properties, and apply the mixture on the affected area.
