After a long winter, it’s finally time for your feet to come out of hiding. Treat yourself to a mani/pedi, and this time skip the hemming and hawing in front of that wall of colours. Temperature isn’t the only thing rising thing this summer, I am loving this season’s lineup of hot nail hues. Gone are the days when toes had to match ditto with the finger nail colours; now its time to add some fun and funk to the manicure and pedicure this summer! Here are the preetiest manicure and pedicure combos you should definitely try this season:
BRIGHT NEONS
Take a walk on the wild side-literally! Neon can never go wrong with a perfect manicured/pedicured nails. Summer is all about bright colours shining everywhere like a sunshine and neon is a perfect match! Go for pink neons on the fingertips and coral neons on the toes. Experiment with other neon shades like neon green for toes and neon yellow for fingers.
SUMMER PASTELS
One can never go wrong with pastels. Sober and subtle nails always go well with any outfit and almost any season. Don’t like the bright nails? pastels are for you. Choose a creamsicle orange shade for fingers and cream nude shades for toes. Also try the mute violet shades for toes and they go really well with pastel blue colours on fingers.
CORAL NUDES
Coral is what I simply love! Coral is somewhere between bright pink and orange; and they look fantastic when paired with nude shades. Go for orange/coral shade on the fingers and cream/nude shade on the toes. Experiment with shades of orange like dark dull orange, bright fluorescent orange etc.
MINT AND LIME!
Mint and Lime! This says it all. Cool colours on a hot summer day are definitely appealing and soothing to the eyes. Mint and Lime is between pastel and neon and definitely are a hit this season. Go for mint on the toes and lime on the fingers. Flaunt baby!
METALLICS
Even if your polish gets chipped, you can keep the look going strong with a quick swipe of shimmery polish. Glitters and metals are a great way to cover imperfections quick and the best part? metallic give your nails a ‘rock on’ look and I am sure it reminds you of ‘metallica’ :p if you like the emo looks, go for metallics.
PRETTY PINKS
Pinks definitely make you look cute thanks to the patented Barbie colour. So all the Barbie fans out there, raise up your hands… and feet and try the pretty pink mani/pedi look. Experiment with dull pinks, maroons, baby pinks, rose, purplish pink colours.
GLITTERS
Glitter nails sparkling in sunshine can turn a lot of heads around! Get hold of glitter nailpolishes or top coats. Maybelline’s go graffiti would be a great choice considering the varieties in glitters they have in that range. Colour your nails and simply add glitter on toes and fingers. You are good to go darling!
WHITE COMBO
This is something quite odd but trust me, it can look attractive! Go for bright nail colours on the fingers and simply white on the toes. This will help tone down the brightness on fingers. Use bright colours like yellow, bright orange, minty blue, bright turquoise etc on the finger nails and white on the toes. Make sure you wear peeptoes or open flats/ sadals to expose the toe nails.
