Hello all! Along with the Kama lavender patchouli body moisturiser I have also bought the body cleanser from the same range to try if it suits my dry skin or not. Kama Ayurveda really makes some good products which are luxurious as well. so today I am going to share my experience with Kama Ayurveda lavender patchouli body cleanser.
Kama claims- A wonderful shower gels with pure essential oils of Lavender, Patchouli and herbal extracts. Lavender relaxes the body and patchouli cleanses and purifies. Aloe Vera nourishes and sugar adds glow to the skin.
Packaging- Kama Ayurveda lavender patchouli body cleanser comes in a see through transparent plastic bottle with a plastic cap attached to it. As it doesn’t come with a stopper at the neck of the bottle the packaging is not travel friendly and the product tends to leak from the bottle when kept in lying position.
Color, texture & smell of the body cleanser– The body cleanser has a very faint greenish color. It has a typical lavender and patchouli like smell which doesn’t linger once you rinse it off from your body. But I enjoy the smell during the application. Some may not like the smell but I love it. The texture is gel like but it is quite runny so tends to leak from the bottle.
Performance– It does contain sodium laureth sulphate!!! That is SLS! It costs twice than body shop shower gels and thrice in case of drugstore brands. But it is not free from chemicals. It doesn’t lather much yet cleanses the skin well. it doesn’t leave soapy residue and keeps the skin soft and supple.
Pros-
- I love the rich smell
- Cleanses skin really well
- Doesn’t strip off the moisturiser
- Makes skin smooth and supple
- Doesn’t leave greasy feeling
- Less amount is required for every usage
- Suitable for all types of skins
Cons-
- Pricey and not worth the money you pay
- Ayurvedic body cleanser which contains SLS!!!
- Packaging is not travel friendly

Recommendation- I enjoy using this but I don’t recommend it as though it is a good body cleanser it is not worth the money you pay. After all it contains SLS which is not tolerable with the price tag it comes! Better you buy a body shop one and those are worth the money.
