Clinique Chubby Stick-Pudgy Peony

My Experience: Clinique Chubby Stick moisturizing balms comes in big fat crayon like packaging with silver base and cap. The crayon is of the same color as the product which is convenient to locate especially when you have more than one of these. The twist up packaging is handy and there is no need of sharpening the product. Overall the packaging is cute and convenient. I don’t like lip products with fragrance and this is thankfully fragrance-free.

Pudgy Peony” is much raved shade and now I know why. It’s a beautiful HOT pink shade which brightens dull face instantly. The shade is really pretty and it will suit most skin tones be it light or dark without looking loud or over the top. I love wearing this shade with smudged kohl and it gives a very pretty look. The color is pigmented but I also sometimes use it as a stain when I want a soft natural look.

The texture is extremely smooth and it glides like butter on lips. You don’t need to prep, exfoliate lips before application which is a must in many lip products. So, for lazy girls like me who prefer products which don’t require much effort this chubby stick from Clinique is “god-gifted”. The stick is highly pigmented and a single swipe is enough to give noticeable color. You can intensify the shade according to the mood and occasion because it never looks odd. It keeps lips hydrated without being sticky or greasy. The formula is extremely lightweight and it gives a bare feeling. It adds a nice noticeable sheen to lips but the glossy shine disappears within an hour and then it settles in a matte finish. It stays for around 4 hours without any base which is pretty good considering it falls under a lip-balm category. To increase the staying power I sometimes use lip liner and sometimes use lip liner as a base. Overall, I really loved using it but I wish the price was affordable. Summing up the pros and cons:
