Getting a beautiful hair comes as an outcome of a collective effort of using the right products and ways of maintaining the hair. Scalp cleansing does not mean just shampooing and conditioning, in fact there is a bit more that you have to do to clear off every bit of dirt from your scalp.

Best Ways to Clean Your Scalp

Why is cleansing the scalp important?
It is very important to cleanse your scalp as this process will ensure that all the dirt, oil and other environmental build up on your scalp is completely removed. You have to have a clean scalp to have healthy hair because -if your scalp is clean then the products that are applied on the scalp will penetrate into the scalp well.

    All about Scalp cleansing.

Shampoo: The common ways to clean the scalp is by shampooing. Typically a shampoo is applied on the hair and scalp, and worked on after which it is rinsed off. The point to note while using a shampoo is to buy a shampoo which suits your hair type. For instance, if you have oily scalp then choose a shampoo that is meant for oily hair. If you have dandruff issues then choose the shampoo that addresses the dandruff issue. DIY natural coconut milk shampoo >>

Conditioner: Choose your conditioner as per your hair too. It is not necessary that you need to use a conditioner after every wash. A conditioner should be used depending on the texture, thickness as well as the porosity of your hair.

Address the scalp issue: It is good to meet a dermatologist and check your scalp to find out if everything is fine especially if you are facing hair fall issues. There could be several scalp issues like dry scalp issues, dandruff, flaking, scalp acne, scalp wounds etc. These issues will interfere in the traditional functioning of the scalp. Go natural with your hair and  use coconut oil to treat every hair problem>>

While using shampoo there are some basic rules you need to follow.

    * Take the required amount of shampoo in your palm; dilute it with few drops of water. This will lather up the shampoo well and then use it on your scalp.
    * Work the shampoo gently on your scalp and massage in it.
    * Rinse out the shampoo after cleansing the hair well.
    * Apply the conditioner strictly on your hair and not on the scalp.
    * Use apple cider vinegar to rinse your hair in the end to wash out all the product build-up in your hair.

Shampoo alternatives: If you do not want to use shampoo on a regular basis because of the chemical presence in it or for whatever reasons, there are other alternatives too. Aloe vera, for instance is a very good alternative. The gel helps to keep the hair hydrated and to clean the scalp. Eggs are also good to cleanse the scalp well. You can rinse your with rose water to get rid of the smell from eggs.
