Toast is an easy-to-make breakfast that is also fulfilling and the other best part is that you can make it the way you want. Toasts are versatile and whatever you put on the top can give it a different flavour depending on what you like. Toast is a perfect base for any plate and here are the delicious toppings or things you can put on it:
Avocado Toast – Scoop out the flesh of the avocado. Mash it well. Add a tsp of lemon juice and mix it. Spread the avocado and lemon paste onto the bread.
Brocolli – Cook the egg white in a non-stick pan. Sautee the broccoli with a drizzle of olive oil. Toast your bread Place the egg white on the bread and sprinkle the sautéed broccoli. Sprinkle some salt and pepper for extra flavor.
Baked beans Toast – Heat the beans in the microwave oven. Spread the beans on the toast and enjoy!
Nutella – When someone says toast, nutella is the first thing that pops into my head. Nutella is a delicious chocolate-hazelnut spread that can make your toast taste like pastry and almost everyone loves it. You can spread little butter on the warm toast and top it up with a dollop of nutella and you are done- buttery chocolate toast! Add slices of fruits like bananas, strawberries or kiwis and dry fruits like almonds, raisins, dates or walnuts. Also read on delicious 2-ingredient nutella recipes >>
Cheese – Cheddar cheese can complement your toast very well. You can simply put very fine onion on your toast and top it up with a thick layer of cheddar. Warm it up in the microwave and you are done! Cheesy toast ready in just a matter of minutes.
Egg Toast – Place the egg on your toast. Sprinkle it with freshly ground pepper and salt. Enjoy it!
Banana – Ingredients are simple; you just need a slice of bread, unsalted butter, a banana, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
Chia Seeds – Spread almond butter or honey over your toast and sprinkle with chia seeds.
Mushroom – Mushrooms on toast makes a terrific brunch or lunch. Fry the mushrooms with garlic and stir a small amount of leftover cream and some chopped parsley in to make this luxurious creamy garlic mushroom toast topping.
Strawberry jam – Strawberry jam is great on a toast and tastes good even when the toast is not hot or warm. It also makes a good fulfilling, tasty and a quick breakfast. Not just strawberry, you can use any jam as a toast topping/spread.
Peanut butter – Peanut butter makes a quick breakfast when topped on a toast. This too needs warm toast to make the peanut butter seep in it. Make a toast and immediately put a good layer of peanut butter on it. It won’t melt immediately like the regular butter but it will get soft and the lower layer will seep in. munch on it and thank me later! Make your own peanut butter >>
Cinnamon – Top with butter and sprinkle with a 30/70 mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
Pomegranate – Top with cream cheese, pomegranate seeds, and nuts!
Greek yogurt – Greek yogurt is rich in protein and it can help to keep your skin soft and glowing. A more Insta-friendly way to breakfast on muesli and Greek yogurt.
Cucumber – Sliced cucumbers (or strawberries for a sweet treat) and reduced-fat cream cheese work perfectly together for a quick and healthy breakfast or snack idea.
