Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much money you spend on your base makeups until you invest in some good tools to apply them. You really don’t need to buy so many tools but some are essential and really enhance the finish. People raved about it and today I am going to share my experience with Real Techniques core collection set by Sam & Nic Chapman of pixiwoo.
Product claims- Reveal your inner expert with high-tech brushes.
Great looks start with a flawless base. Create a perfect canvas with our core collection of coverage essentials. Look pixel perfect even in harsh light. Ultra plush bristles.
Description of items-
Detailer brush- precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas; or, use with lipstick for long-lasting shape and definition.
Pointed foundation brush- use with liquid foundation to build custom coverage.
Buffing brush- ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation.
Contour brush- delicately applies highlighter to contour or create sheer, soft-focus finish.
Panoramic case- dual carrier and stand keeps brushes organized on your counter on the go.
Packaging- Real Techniques core collection comes in a plastic box with all the four brushes and the panoramic case. The brushes are super gorgeous to look with their coppery golden finish. Bottom of the brushes are rubber gripped and it helps to hold them properly.
Quality and Performance- The bristles are synthetic and very soft to use on your skin. Real Techniques products are cruelty free and it’s a good thing about their brushes. I use detailer brush to apply lipsticks and it applies the lipstick evenly on my lips. Pointed foundation brush is very small and I have found the buffing brush is more convenient to apply any kind of foundation. Pointed foundation brush is good for applying foundation on specific areas of face like around the nose. The dense Buffing brush is excellent and blends foundation like a dream. It also blends loose powder very easily. I don’t use the dome-shaped contour brush very often as I don’t contour or apply highlighter very often. I don’t use so much makeups as my oily skin feels very heavy.
Pros-
• Comes with a panoramic case
• Bristles are very soft
• Easily washable
• Bristles are strongly bounded
• Buffing brush blends foundation really well
• Cheaper than MAC
• Now available in online Indian sites
Cons-
• Pointed foundation brush is not so unique and good
• Still now it is not available in stores. At least I didn’t spot.
• Pricey in India. They are way too cheap in USA
RBS Rating- 4/5 (-1 for the pointed foundation brush)
Price- 1999 INR !
Recommendation- yes, I recommend this as it is a good brand and cheaper than sigma and Mac. You get four brushes at one pack which is a good idea and it’s also easy to store them together. They are far better than any cheaper brushes available. But if you only want a brush just to apply foundation, don’t pick this. Instead grab the expert brush from Real Techniques!
