Rose essential oil is widely used during spiritual and religious gatherings to set the mood for the special occasion. It is all appreciated for its admirable deodorizing and antiseptic nature. Even though the goodness of rose essential oil has been acknowledged and accepted, it is not widely used in households due as it is quite expensive. - For clean and freshly scenting rooms
Rose essential oil is gifted with rich antiseptic properties that help in keeping the viruses and bacteria away. Add about 20 drops of this essential oil with 20 drops of lavender essential oil and use this to clean your house for a disinfected, aromatic home.
- Deodorize your bathroom
Add 30 drops of rose essential oil with 30 drops of eucalyptus oil to 100 ml water. Mix the concoction well to ensure proper dissolving of the oil. Use this solution to zest up your bathrooms.
- Clean your kitchen
A mixture of rose essential oil with baking soda and apple cider vinegar can be used as a natural de-greasing agent. Apply it on your stovetop or sink and scrub away after 10 to 20 minutes for stain-free, glistening, and aromatic surfaces.
- Keep your clothes fragrant
Prepare an ironing mist by adding 30 drops of rose essential oil to 100 ml water. Spray a little as you iron the clothes. Alternatively, you can add about 2 tbsp of this essential oil to a clean cloth and add it your clothes in the dryer.
- Keep your vessels clean
A mixture of rose oil with lavender oil and baking soda can be used effectively to remove the grease from your vessels. This mixture also ensures that your vessels are free from germs.
- Clean your kitchen drain
Mix 1 cup of baking soda with half a cup of white vinegar and 20 drops each of lemon essential oil and rose essential oil. Stir the mixture to allow soda to dissolve completely. Empty into your drain and wait for 20 minutes before flushing the drain with plain water.
- Protect your clothes from moths
Soak a cotton ball in 10 drops of rose essential oil and place it your wardrobe to shield your clothes from moths.
- Use it as your mosquito repellent
A blend of rose essential oil and Geranium essential oil is an effective natural insect repellent. Just add ten drops each to boiling water. Close the dish with a perforated lid and place it in the room of your choice to repel the insects. You can also sprinkle the essential oil infused in water to keep the insects away.
- Homemade hand sanitizer
Mix 12 drops each of rose and eucalyptus essential oils to 750 ml water. Shake well and use it as your hand sanitizer.
- Flavoring agent
Give your cookies, biscuits, and cakes a new zest and enriched aroma by adding 2 to 3 drops of the edible grade essential oil.
