A healthy hair is a result of proper grooming. A well groomed person will always have well maintained hair generally and this simply means that maintaining a healthy hair is a result of lot of patience and effort.
Although you might have been born with healthy hair, not always does it remain in that state forever. The adverse conditions of the nature, dirt, dust pollution, chemicals all lead to damage of the hair. Hair tends to become dry, coarse and loses its luster and shine.
There are lots of simple ways with which you can control the damage and strengthen your hair and they are as follows:
Diet: Make sure your diet consists of food that is rich in vitamins, proteins as well as minerals. Cut off the fats and instead consume more green vegetables, eggs as well as fruits. If required take Vitamin D and E supplements. Proper diet is the foundation for strong hair so make sure the foundation is really strong.
Use less hair chemicals and heat: Avoid using chemicals as well as heat on the hair: Using too much of hair care products also can damage your hair, so make sure you do not use too much of hair product and if you do make it a point to wash it off completely after application. If the product is left in the hair, you can develop dandruff, itching, hair loss etc.Using heat on the hair through straightening or curling can also damage your hair too much. Stop using them completely if your hair is damaged and even if you have to use it, use it after applying a heat protectant product on the hair.
Oil your hair: You might have heard this several times, so yes! Oilingyour hair is very important if you want to protect your hair from further damage. Oil nourishes your hair from within and thus helps in the growth of the hair. The oil you want to use is of your choice. Any natural oil is very good for hair growth. You can mix the oils and use to.
Overnight oiling can also be done for better result. Argan oil is very good to strengthen the damaged hair especially.
You can warm the oil a bit before applying it on the scalp as this helps in better penetration of the oil into the roots of the hair. Leave it on for minimum one hour and then wash your hair. This way you can benefit from oiling.
Treat damaged hair with homemade hair mask:
Avocado: Take one avocado, mash the pulp and apply it on the hair including the roots. Leave it on for 20 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.
Aloe vera: Apply aloe vera gel on the hair and leave it on for half an hour and wash it off.
Egg mask: Take one egg yolk, add 2 spoons of olive oil, 2 spoons of mayonnaise and mix it well. Apply this mask on the hair and leave it for half an hour and wash it off.
All these tips will help you strengthen the damaged hair and will also prevent the hair from further damage.
