METHOD 1: TOMATO AND SUGAR UNDERARM LIGHTENING SCRUB
Benefits: Tomato has skin brightening properties and it also helps detox the skin and lighten it as well. It is anti-inflammatory so it also helps calm down razor burns. Sugar on the other hand helps exfoliate and scrub away dark dead skin and reveal new brighter skin.
Step 1- Take a smaller sized tomato and cut slices out of it.
Step 2- Now, take some sugar in a bowl and dip one side of the tomato slice in it.
Step 3- Rub the slice gently on your armpits until the sugar dissolves and tomato gets mushy. Wash off and pat dry.
METHOD 2: LIGHTEN ARMPITS – POTATO AND LEMON

Step 1- Peel a small sized potato and cut not-so-thin slices.
Step 2- Juice half a lemon and dip potato slices in it.
Step 3- Rub this potato slice on clean, washed and dried armpits for 5 minutes. Follow this on both the sides.
Step 4- Let it stay overnight or wash off after 30 minutes.
METHOD 3: CUCUMBER TO LIGHTEN ARMPITS
Benefits: Cucumber is well known for its skin freshening properties, anti-inflammatory properties, and skin brightening properties. Step 1– Grab a juicy cucumber and slice it.
Step 2- Take some turmeric powder in a bowl and dip cucumber slices in it.
Step 3- Rub this on your wet under arms for 2 minutes. Leave it on for 10 mins. Wash off and pat dry.
METHOD 4: LIGHTEN UNDEARMS – MILK AND TURMERIC
Benefits: Milk has skin whitening and brightening properties. It also makes skin soft and smooth and keeps any skin problems like bumps at bay. It also calms down skin inflammation. Turmeric, as mentioned above too has skin brightening properties and it also calms down and heals any skin problems.
Step 1- Take some cold milk in a bowl and add little turmeric to it, approx. 1 teaspoon in 5-6 tablespoons milk.
Step 2- Mix everything well making sure there are no turmeric powder lumps.
Step 3- soak a cotton ball with turmeric-milk solution and apply it on the armpits. Keep it overnight and wash off in the morning. Follow this every day.
Caution: Wear sleeveless or black colored tees when you use this or you might end up staining your clothes.
METHOD 5: LEMON TO LIGHTEN DARK UNDERARMS
Benefits: Lemon alone is well-known for its skin brightening, softening and cleansing properties. It is also antimicrobial in nature that keeps armpits free of odor.
Step 1- Grab a fresh lemon and slice it.
Step 2- Rub the lemon slices on the armpits for 5 minutes and follow this on both sides. Keep it overnight or for the entire day.
