ORANGE PEEL MASK

Put some orange peels in the sun for a few days until they dry out completely. Grind the dried peels into powder form. Mix two teaspoons of powdered orange peels with enough rose water and milk to make a thick paste. Gently scrub the affected area with the paste and then leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes. Finally, wash the area with cold water. Repeat the process two or three times a week.

MILK AND YOGHURT MASK

Mix two tablespoons of full fat milk, one tablespoon flour and one teaspoon of pain yogurt to make a thick paste. Apply it on your skin and leave it on for about 15 minutes before wash it off with cold water. Repeat a few times a week on a regular basis.

MILK AND SAFFRON MASK

Soak a couple of strands of saffron in two teaspoons of milk for 15 to 20 minutes. You can also add a little honey. Apply the mixture on your underarms, elbows, knees, knuckles etc.  and leave it on for at least 20 to 30 minutes before washing it off. Follow this remedy daily until you are satisfied with the results.

SUGAR AND OLIVE OIL MASK/SCRUB

Mix equal amounts of sugar and olive oil to make a thick paste. Apply this paste on your knees, underarms and elbows and rub it around using circular motions for 5 minutes. Wash it off with a mild soap and warm water. Do this once daily until the skin tone around your knees, underarms and elbows lightens. Repeat this treatment on a weekly basis.

ALMOND YOGHURT MASK

Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of coarsely powdered almonds with a little yogurt to make a thick paste. Apply it on the darkened elbows, underarms and knees. Allow it to dry, then with wet fingers rub in circular motions. Wash it off with cold water. Do this once or twice daily for a few weeks.

ONION AND GARLIC WASH WITH GLYCERINE LEMON MASK

You need 1 clove garlic, 1 onion, lemon Juice, rosewater and glycerine. Peel your garlic and your onion. Grate garlic and onion into small chunks. Mix them together and rub them on dark skin for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with water and mild soap. Mix 1 part glycerine, 1 part lemon juice, and 2 parts rosewater. Apply to dark skin. Repeat regularly.

CHICKPEA MASK

You need 2 heaps chickpea flour, 1 tablespoon turmeric powder, 2 tablespoons milk, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and rosewater. In a bowl, mix chickpea powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, and milks to make a paste. Apply to underarms, knees and elbows and let dry. Wash off with water and mild soap and pat dry. Apply rosewater and leave on. Repeat twice a week.
