Prevent and Fix Makeup Mistakes - Look gorgeous always

Quick Makeup Fixes

CAKEY
Prevent: The best way to avoid cakey foundation is to fix the dry skin by exfoliating regularly and following up with a rich moisturizer. Smoother skin will result in smoother application of your foundation.

Fix: Mist water to your foundation brush or use a slightly damp sponge to smooth the foundation all over which will also remove excess make-up or  take a small drop of a gentle face cream and dab a little on the blotchy part and smoothen it carefully.

OVERLOAD
Prevent: Prevent using too much blush by remembering to always tap your blush brush to remove excess powder before applying it to the cheeks and using very little of the blush for a natural flush.

Fix: Use cotton ball to swipe off the excess pigments if your overloaded with powder blush. If you’ve used a cream blush, you can take a tiny bit of foundation or translucent powder and tap it lightly over the heavy blush using your fingertip or a sponge to neutralize it.

SMUDGED
Prevent: Use a waterproof eyeliner to prevent smudging.

Fix: If you have a smudged eyeliner then correct it using a finely pointed Q-TIP dipped into some oil-free makeup remover. If you have messed it up beyond repair then just smudge it out with your fingertip or cotton swab for a smoky effect.

CREASING
Prevent: Use a eye shadow primer to create a perfect canvas for your shadow, you can also use a liquid foundation to prevent the eyeshadow from creasing.

Fix: To fix the problem just smudge the shadow with your fingertips, a cotton swab or even better, an eye shadow brush to re-blend the color to make sure that the creases in your shadow don’t happen.

BLEEDING
Prevent: Use lip liner to prevent smudged lipstick or clear wax pencil and  draw it over the lip line. Pat the area with your finger, and apply your lipstick.  Look for waterproof lip liners that are formulated to help prevent feathering and bleeding.

Fix: To fix any smudged lipstick or lip gloss use a qtip to wipe off excess gloss around the lip area. You can also dip a lip brush into a concealer and use it around the lips for a clean finish.
