If you are a regular reader here, you may have learnt through my articles that I love pink-coral lipsticks. I was always a bit sceptical about using bold shades like purple or red; but being s blogger I have to experiment and come out of my comfort zone to try something unusual. Since NYX is officially spreading its wings in India, I decided to try their liquid lipstick- NYX liquid suede lipstick in the shade kitten heels which is bright blood red. Without much ado, let us see how I liked this little baby:

MY TAKE ON NYX LIQUID SUEDE LIPSTICK IN KITTEN HEELS
Packaging: The lipstick comes in a plastic cylindrical tube form; just a bigger version of NYX soft matte crème lipsticks. The tube is actually transparent but takes the colour of lipstick. It has a doe-foot applicator which is easy to use but since the tube is long, the applicator too has a longer wand which can be a con for some due to difficulty in application. I can use it perfectly though.
Texture: The lipstick is beautifully textured- creamy and glides on very smoothly. It settles into a matte finish which is very moisturizing.
Shade: Kitten heels is a beautiful bright blood red. This shade has no undertones- just plain red.
Fragrance: The lip stick has a very mild plastic-chemical smell. It won’t bother you as it vanishes as soon as you are done with the application.
How I use and staying power: I apply a lip balm for 5-10 minutes before applying this lipstick. I wipe off the lip balm and carefully line my lips- then fill in. just let it set for few minutes and you are done!
The lipstick is very much pigmented and gives an opaque colour in just one swipe. I have applied just one layer in the pictures and my my, look at the colour payoff! Since the colour is bright, you need to very very careful in not letting it get outside the lips while applying- it will leave behind a visible stain if wiped. Now coming to the staying power, this lipstick stays all day long no doubt in that but it transfers a lot too. It does transfer but as the shade is bright, your lips remain stained until you use a makeup remover to wipe it off. The best part? It made my teeth appear whiter ^_^
