NATURAL ANTI-AGING REMEDIES FOR AROUND THE EYES

Wrinkles around the eyes are the first thing one would notice during the onset of aging. Wrinkles under the eyes can jeopardize the entire beauty of your face. Women fret over such things and spend hours and hours in the parlour, burning a hole in their pocket as well as resort to expensive treatment methods. However, there are many natural secrets, home tips and remedies that really work amazing in mitigating the fine lines under eye.

NATURAL ANTI-AGING REMEDIES FOR AROUND THE EYES ALOE VERA GEL

The aloe vera plant contains malic acid that helps reduce wrinkles by improving the elasticity of your skin.

How to use: Mix one teaspoon of aloe vera gel with the contents of a vitamin E capsule. Apply the mixture to areas around the eyes. Leave it on half an hour and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

PINEAPPLE JUICE

Pineapples have enzymes that promote skin elasticity, moisturize the skin, and help eliminate dead skin cells as well. The fruit is also rich in antioxidants, fibres and vitamins that boost skin health.

Remedy 1: Apply pineapple juice on your face and leave for 20 minutes. Then rinse off the face. Make sure the under eye skin is anointed with the juice properly. This will reduce the wrinkles and make the area soft and elastic so that the wrinkles will never return.

Remedy 2: Apply the juice from a green pineapple mixed with few drops almond oil onto the skin daily for five minutes before washing off. This is also a very good remedy for treating dark circles around the eyes.

HONEY AND LEMON

Whether you intake honey or apply it externally, it works wonder. Take honey and lemon juice in an equal amount and mix them well. Apply it on your face. This will make your facial skin tight and wrinkle-free. You could also wash your face with warm water and apply honey on your face. Rub gently, and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Then, after washing your face with warm water, rub an ice cube.

CARROTS

Carrots are high in vitamin A and promote collagen production keeping skin smooth and wrinkle free.

How to use: Boil two or three large carrots in water until they become soft. Blend the carrots with some honey to get a paste. Apply it directly on the face. Leave it on for about a half an hour and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.

CASTOR OIL

Castor oil acts as a rich moisturizer that can be used daily for keeping the skin under the eyes soft and supple and also preventing wrinkles from appearing.

How to use: Dip your index finger in castor oil and apply under the eyes. Remember not to over moisturize the area as this can lead to puffy eyes. Leave it overnight. The thick consistency of castor oil will help in keeping the area well moisturized and prevent fine lines from appearing.

PAPAYA

Papaya is a very good option for removing wrinkles and fine lines.

How to use: Take a piece of papaya and mash it. Add honey to it and apply it on the neck and face. It is a very effective natural remedy for wrinkles and will bring glow on your face.

ADDITIONAL TIPS:

  • Control facial expressions like squinting and frowning as they tend to overwork the facial muscles.
  • Limit sun exposure, especially when the sun is strongest.
  • Include more vitamin C rich foods such as orange, blueberries, grapefruit, pineapple, broccoli, bell peppers, spinach, and kale in your diet. Vitamin C promotes collagen formation and fights free radicals.
  • Get proper sleep.
