Hi girls! Today I am going to share my experience about a new addition in the foundation family. Yeah it is Maybelline dream satin air whipped liquid foundation which is a part of their Rebel Bouquet collection in India. I have bought it some days back and used it for 3-4 times. So today I’ve thought to review it.
What Maybelline claims about this? Our unique air soft formula provides pore less, satin smooth looking skin. Extraordinary coverage that doesn’t clog pores. Long lasting and moisturising all day.
My experience with this- Packaging- Maybelline dream satin liquid foundation comes in a transparent glass bottle with a transparent plastic lid. It comes with a pump dispenser which is very convenient to use. The pump is of good quality and dispenses right amount of product at a time. The lid is also tight but you should take care during traveling.
Shade and texture- I am reviewing the shade O4 (pure beige) and it is totally a beige colour without definite yellow or pink undertones. I have yellow under toned skin and it reduces the yellow hue and makes it neutral.
Texture wise it is quite runny and very easy to blend. It doesn’t dry out very quickly and one can blend it properly before drying. I found that it is also very easy to lend with hands. I generally use Real Techniques buffing brush for blending foundations but I don’t need any brush for this one.
Staying power and performance- it stays on my skin around 6-7 hour and then it starts to fade away if I stay in the air conditioned environment. My oily t zone gets oily after some time of application and I have to set it with setting powder. In normal environment it stays 3-4 hours but setting with a powder is must. I think this is best suitable for dry skin. It starts to melt in humid weather on in direct sunlight after some time and here in Kolkata it is too humid now.
It contains high spf (sp 24 and PA ++) which makes it good for daytime uses but in night it makes the pictures a little ghasty.
