Fuller lips is something all girls. A plump pout adds cuteness to any look, and is desirable by most of the girls. Full lips are so in trend but not everyone is born with a super-plump pout. Thankfully, though, all you really need is makeup to create the illusion of bigger lips. Surgery can certainly be done, but makeup is always the quick solution! Here are some makeup tricks to fake fuller lips:
USE A LIP LINER
Using a lip liner that matches your lip colour (and not the lipstick shade) can make your lips appear fuller and pouty. Slightly overline (trace outside your natural line) you lips over your cupid’s bow and below the middle of your bottom lip.
CONTOURING
Yea you heard me right! Contouring is not just for your cheeks and face after all, you can contour your lips as well to make them appear fuller. You need a lip liner that is one shade darker than your lip stick. Using the lip liner, fill in the corners of your lips and draw short lines that follow the natural contours of your lips. Blend it a bit but using lip brush, just lightly to make it look natural. This will make your lip creases appear deeper and lips fuller.
USE LIGHT LIP GLOSS IN CENTER
You can create a three-dimensional effect using a light coloured lip gloss that has subtle shine. Apply four dots of the lip gloss, two in the centre of the upper lip and two in the centre of the bottom lip. Then blend together, but keep the gloss just in the middle of the lips, not going out to the sides. If you want the effect to stay long, apply a light coloured lipstick in the centre of lips, blend and then follow with the lip gloss.
DIY PEPPERMINT OIL LIP GLOSS
Add 1-2 drops of peppermint essential oil to a tube of lip gloss. Mix well using the lip gloss wand to make sure the EO is distributed fairly evenly throughout the entire tube of lip gloss. Apply as normal. Thanks to the peppermint, you’re lips will feel slightly tingly and look fuller!
APPLY FOUNDATION PRIOR TO LIPSTICK APPLICATION
A smooth layer of foundation on lips can create a fresh flawless canvas for lipstick. Flawless lips with even colour makes lips appear bigger than they actually are. Start with a blank canvas by applying concealer over your lip line and then fill in your lips with foundation. Apply lipstick over your lips and follow the lip gloss method as mentioned earlier for added effect.
CONCEALER TRICK
Perfect makeup begins with a flawless canvas, so make sure to exfoliate your lips to get rid of dead skin, soften them and allow your lipstick to go on smoothly. Apply concealer to the centre of your lips on the top and before applying your lipstick. Make sure to dab it on till the outer edges. This might feel and look a bit weird initially but the effect is pretty awesome.
