Dirt and stains on white sneakers can make them look yellow and dirty. Add a little amount of nail polish remover to a cotton ball and use it to wipe away marks. Since this method can be a little harsh, always make sure to apply baby powder or petroleum jelly to protect the newly clean areas of your shoe’s material.

REMOVE INK USING SUNSCREEN

Regardless of whether the ink stain on your skin was intentional or accidental, it can seem like a hassle to remove. Surprisingly enough, a sunscreen can be used to remove the toughest of ink stains on your skin. Both cream and spray-on sunscreen work well for this purpose. All you need to do is, Coat the ink stain with a thick layer of sunscreen, and rub it in a circular motion using your finger tips. Continue adding sunscreen and rubbing it in until all the stain has been dissolved.

BABY OIL TO POLISH WOOD

Wood needs to be polished frequently to maintain and keep them in top condition. There are a lot of wood polishes available in the market today but baby oils works better and is quite inexpensive and long lasting. Mix 1 ½ cups of baby oil with 1 cup of lemon juice in a spray bottle and shake to blend thoroughly. Spray some of the mixture onto a clean and dry cloth and gently apply to wood in a circular motion. Let it sit for 5 minutes or so, and then wipe with a soft cloth to bring out the shine.

COVER UP TATOO USING LIPTICK

Need to hide your tattoo before an interview or a professional meet? No worries. A lipstick can easily do the trick. You only need to apply red lipstick over the inked area, conceal with a full-coverage concealer and then set with a powder to make the tattoo vanish.

POWDER BRUSHES TO DUST SMALL APPLIANCES

I always use this trick to clean my epilators and laptop. Ofcourse I do not use the same brush for both the appliances! Laptop has nicks and corners that build up dust and this can damage your laptop over time. I always wanted compressed air cans to clean the laptop but then I found my old powder brush and I used it to clean my laptop. It works great!

Do you always find your keyboards dusty even after you have cleaned it few hours ago? This will be a common phenomenon if you stay at the top floor, this is my experience talking! You can keep a pack of facial or baby wipes handy. Simply take out a wipe and use it to clean the keyboard.

Have guests coming home and out of room spray? You can quickly grab a perfume and use it instead! Spray it as you would do with a room freshener and see your house smelling wonderful.

PUMICE STONE TO DEFUZZ CLOTHES

Do you see lint and threads on top of your clothes? They are caused due to wear and tear of the clothes and this is a common phenomenon with old clothes. You can use a lint roller but not everybody has it right? Pumice stone can make a great alternative. Simply rub pumice stone on dry clothes before putting them in the washing machine.

Are you tired of your mirrors constantly fogging up after a shower? Here is a simple way to stop it. Take two dollops of shampoo on a sponge, add few drops of water on it and scrub the mirror with it. Rinse it off with plain water and make sure you completely let the mirror dry. The shampoo will form a thin protective layer on the mirror and will prevent it from fogging up.

CONDITIONER AS FABRIC SOFTENER

Fabric softeners are used to soften the clothes, prevent lint from forming and also to make it smell good. Add 2 dollops of conditioner in the last rinse of water used to wash clothes. After regular washing, dip the clothes in water in which conditioner is added for 30 minutes. Wring and let dry in shade.

HAIR DRYER TO INSTANTLY DEFOGG BATHROOM MIRROR

Here is another trick to get rid of fogging on the mirrors. You can use a hair drier to dry the water droplets and fogging formed on the bathroom mirrors. This is not a long lasting solution though, but can be used when in quick need.

SHAVING CREAM AS STAIN REMOVER

Shaving cream can be effectively used to remove stubborn stains, old or new from carpets, rugs, clothes, leather furniture etc. Squeeze out a dollop of shaving foam and apply it liberally on the stain. Let it sit for an hour and scrub it using toothbrush. Spray plain water on it and blot.

FLAT IRON TO REMOVE WRINKLES

Flat iron can be used instead of regular iron to remove wrinkles from the clothes. You cannot completely replace the regular iron with a flat iron but it can definitely be used in emergencies. You have to use the flat iron on the clothes just as you use it on your hair by pinching the cloth in between the iron gently.

TOOTHPASTE AS SILVER POLISH

Cleaning your silverware with toothpaste is a well-known hack. Simply apply some toothpaste on your silverware and brush it using a toothbrush. Finally rinse the silverware with plain water.

NAIL POLISH TO FIX SCUFFS

Small scratches on furniture, car, toy etc. can be repaired by using just a nail polish! But, you have to make sure that the nail polish is of the exact colour of surface. To fix any scuff, just apply nailpolish carefully on it and you are done. Do not use glossy nailpolish on matte finished surface, you can use matte nail polish accordingly.
