To look healthy and fresh, one needs a good night sleep. Some are blessed with ability to sleep as and when they hit the bed at night, some do not feel sleepy for hours. Insomnia is a common problem these days thanks to lifestyle change, getting up late, sleeping in the afternoon for long, stress, etc. Prescription sleeping medications cannot always be the option! Lavender essential oil is a well-known sleep promoter. Below are various ways you can use lavender essential oil for a good night’s sleep:
Take ½ cup water in a bowl and add in ½ cup or witch hazel. Now add in 10 drops lavender essential oil and mix well. Pour it into a spray bottle and use it to spray on your pillow before bedtime. Shake well before every use.
Diffuser: Put few drops of lavender essential oil into a diffuser if you have 30 minutes before you go to sleep.
Lavender rub: Melt some coconut oil and add in lavender essential oil. Pour it into a container and keep in col and dry place. Rub it on your chest, temples, the soles of your feet, before bedtime for an undisturbed night’s sleep. More: Lavender water benefits >>
