Cleansing, toning and moisturizing (CTM) is extremely important for every skin type. Many people skip the toning part because they are not aware how toning can actually improve their skin. Toners make your skin feel refresh, clean and bright. If you have oily skin, toners can actually help in remove excess oil from the skin and can also prevent oil secretion. It eliminates toxins, reduces the appearance of pores, tightens skin, prevents breakouts and can also improve complexion. So, skipping the toning part is not a good idea. There are many toners available in the market but if you are a DIY-person then you can easily make natural organic toner for yourself by using simple kitchen-ingredients.
Oily Acne Prone Skin:
Ingredients: Green tea or rose water, apple cider vinegar, salt and spray bottle.
Boil around 50 ml of water and then add 2 spoons of green tea leaves. Let the leaves soak for 20 minutes and release its flavor. Pour the green tea in a spray bottle and add 2-3 pinch of table-salt into it. Take one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and add it into the spray-bottle. Shake everything well and tadaa your homemade-all-natural face toner is ready. For extra nourishment you can also add one tablespoon of glycerin. You can use rose water instead of green tea.
Benefits: Green tea has anti-inflammatory properties so it prevents breakouts like acne, pimple and it also fights signs of aging. Apple cider vinegar whereas maintains the pH level of body and controls excess oil so it is an excellent skin-toner.
Dry Skin:
Ingredients: Rosewater, coconut oil, glycerin and spray bottle.
Take half cup rose water, 1/2 tsp of coconut oil, one tablespoon of glycerin and mix them all. Put it in a spray bottle, shake well and spray it throughout the day.
Benefits: Coconut Oil moisturizes skin and prevents it from drying. It also makes skin feel refreshing after a tired day so you can also use this spray in the evening for fresh feeling. Dry skin is also prone to aging signs like wrinkle and rose water along with coconut oil helps in reducing them significantly.
Sensitive Skin:
Ingredients: Handful of neem and tulsi leaves, half cup rose water, 100ml boiled water, glycerin and spray bottle.
Take 100ml of water and boil it thoroughly. Once the water gets boiled, put neem and tulsi leaves in it and let it stay for 20 minutes. The leaves will release its flavor and color and the water will appear yellowish. Put rose water and glycerin into it and mix all the ingredients really well. Now store it in a spray bottle and apply on skin whenever required.
Benefits: Sensitive skin can face many problems so suing a toner which has antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral toner can benefit in many ways. Neem and tulsi are highly beneficial. This toner will prevent skin irritations, redness, soothe dry skin, prevent premature-aging and will also make your skin glowing.
Normal Skin:
Ingredients: Rice, water and rosewater.
Take half cup of rice and pour it in a bowl of water so that the rice gets covered completely. Let it stay for 20 minutes or until the water becomes cloudy. Separate the water and the rice. Transfer the rice water into a spray bottle and then add half cup of rose water into it. Shake both the ingredients well and use it as a facial toner.
Benefits: Rice water deep cleanses skin, brightens complexion and tightens pores. With regular usage it will also improve uneven skin tone and will reduce skin pigmentation.
