I’m very lazy so I don’t really make scrubs at home and totally rely on market products. But I keep trying various homemade recipes on weekends to give my skin a break from chemical-loaded products. This time I tried making a simple yet very effective scrub using walnuts. There are many walnut scrubs available in the market, so I thought why not make my own scrub using them. I quickly grabbed the ingredients and made the scrub within 10 minutes. I am so pleased with the results that I’ve grinded more walnuts so that I can make the scrub easily whenever I want to. Okay, so here is the recipe of “DIY Walnut Scrub”.
Ingredients:
- 2 walnuts
- 1 tbsp milk cream
- 1 drop tea tree oil
Method:
- Pound the walnuts in a processor and make a smooth paste. You can also use more walnut if you’re planning to use it as body scrub.
- Put this walnut paste in a bowl and also add take one tablespoon of milk cream into it.
- Also add 1-2 drops of tea tree oil into the mixture.
Mix everything gently and tada you’re done with your DIY Walnut scrub. Easy right?
How to Use: Always damp your skin before applying scrub. Take a small amount on your finger and apply it all over your face and neck. Massage gently in circular motion and don’t rub your skin too hard. Scruib for around 1-2 minutes, you can scrub your forehead and chin for a little bit longer for better results. Rinse off and apply toner to close your pores. Use this scrub once a week.

- The milk cream will also make your face soft and smooth.
- I’ve also added tea tree oil in the scrub because it prevents skin from breaking out. If you have acne-prone skin then this scrub will prevent acne from forming again.
