Even if you’re regular about cleaning up after each meal, doing the dishes, wiping down the counters, scouring the pans; after a while your entire kitchen still needs a deep clean. Why use toxic cleaning products when you can make your very own natural DIY kitchen cleaners? Here are some recipes:

GLASS VESSEL CLEANER

You need 1 cup water, 1 cup vinegar (white or apple cider vinegar), ¼ cup rubbing alcohol, ½ cup liquid castile soap and 5 drops orange essential oil.

Add water and vinegar in a vessel. To it, add rubbing alcohol followed by orange essential oil. Stir the solution properly and pour the mixture in a pump bottle. Use it to wash your glass vessels (even ceramics would do). Take a small amount on your scrubber and scrub your vessels like usual.

ALL PURPOSE KITCHEN CLEANER

You need some orange peels, 1 tablespoon salt, 1 cup vinegar, 1 cup distilled water and few drops of orange essential oil.

Cut orange peels and fill them in a glass jar. Sprinkle salt over it and let it sit for 30 minutes. Now fill the jar with vinegar and water. Stir it well and put the lid on it making sure it is tight. Shake I a bit and keep the jar in dark for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, take out the jar and strain the liquid. This is your cleaning liquid! Pour it in a spray bottle and use it to clean surfaces in kitchen. You may add orange essential oil to it when you pour the liquid in spray bottle.

KITCHEN FLOOR CLEANER

To make a kitchen floor cleaner, you need 1 gallon water, ¾ cup olive oil, ½ cup lemon juice and 2 teaspoon liquid castile soap.

Add 1 gallon water in a bowl and mix lemon juice with it. Add olive oil to the solution and stir thoroughly. The oil wont mix with water, so if it floats on it that’s fine. Now add castile soap to it and mix gently taking care it doesn’t foam. Store this in a bottle and add 2 tablespoons of it to 1 medium sized tub of water. Use it to wipe the floors in kitchen. You can also use it to wipe the walls, refrigerator etc.
