Insomnia or difficulty in sleeping is a common problem in these hectic lifestyles and busy brains. Stress and depression too is a major reason. Over a period of time, sleeplessness can turn out to be chronic as a result of stress, anxiety, and as a side effect of disease or medication. Are you having a tough time in falling asleep? Try the below ways to fall asleep ASAP!
DIM YOUR LIGHTS
Lighting has a direct connection with your sleeping pattern. Bright lights keep the mind/brain alert and wide awake so you do not feel asleep. When the lights are dimmed, the brain naturally gets a signal to calm down and it is like an indicating to the brain that it’s time to sleep. If you are having a hard time falling asleep, try dimming your room lights.
WARM MILK
Having a glass of warm milk is an age old remedy to fall asleep. Many people find the warmth soothing and relaxing, helping them unwind both physically and mentally. Roughly 30 minutes before bed, start winding down. Turn off electronics, read a book, and heat up a glass of milk to a toasty warm, but still comfortable, temperature. Have the milk and you will be asleep in no time.
