BODY ACNE REMEDIES WITH BATH RECIPES

Body acne is a common problem these days thanks to the pollution and dirt that clogs skin pores. If you have oily skin, these factors might just add on to the problem! Bathing in water infused with the goodness of herbs, essential oils and other healthful ingredients is a lovely, healing way to care for your acne prone skin. Soaking in infused bath water can open up the pores, clear them inside out and purify your skin along with feeding it with nutrients. Here are some easy bath recipes for body acne:

BODY ACNE REMEDIES WITH BATH RECIPESOATMEAL EPSOM BATH SALTS

You need 7-8 tablespoons oatmeal and 1-2 cups Epsom salts.

Method: Combine oatmeal and Epsom salt in a jar and give it a good mix. If possible, grind the oatmeal to make it fine/granulated powder and then combine with Epsom salt. Pour three tablespoons of this mixture into a clean sock and tie the end closed. Run a warm bath and throw the sock in bath tub. Take the sock into the bath with you and squeeze it regularly to replenish the nutrients in your bath. Soak for 20-30 minutes. Repeat regularly.

ESSENTIAL OILS DETOX BATH

You need ½ cup baking soda, 1 tablespoon Epsom salt and 20 drops essential oils. You may choose lavender, rosemary, rose, tea tree or citrus essential oil.

Method: Combine baking soda and Epsom salt in a jar. Mix it thoroughly and add essential oils. Add this to your bath and soak for 20 minutes. Repeat regularly.

MILK AND HONEY BATH

You need 1-2 cups of full fat milk and ½ cup honey.

Method: Pour 1-2 cups of milk (or 1/2 c. full-fat powdered milk) and 1/2 c. honey under running, warm water. Swish around to mix, and hop in. Soak for 20 minutes and finish off with cold shower. Do this once a week for nourished and clear skin.

HERBAL BATH

You need 2 tablespoons each of sage, green tea, chamomile tea, peppermint and rosemary.

Method: Brew 1-2 cups of very strong herbal tea. Strain and add it to your running bathwater. Then, take the remaining brewed herbs and place them in the middle of a washcloth. Gather the washcloth together at the top and tie tightly with a string or a hair tie. Leave it in the bath as you soak, and then scrub well with it before getting out of the tub.

FLORAL HEALING BATH

You need 2 tablespoons each of dried lavender powder, rose powder, chamomile powder and calendula powder.

Method: If you do not have the above powders, you may add the sun-dried flowers to grinder and grind them to fine powder and then use. Combine all the powders and mix them thoroughly. Fill a pot with water, add the mixture to it and heat to almost boiling, keeping a lid on the pot so the essential oils from the herbs don’t evaporate. Take the pot off the heat and let your bath infuse for 20 minutes to a few hours. Then strain the liquid directly into your tub, fill the tub the rest of the way with water and your bath is ready.
