Essential oil Air Freshener: Go natural and use essential oils as natural air fresheners. To get rid of bad odor and to make your room, bathroom, kitchens smell awesome use essential oils. Pour a bowl of water and add 10-20 drops of essential oil of your choice. Keep this bowl on the kitchen counter or in your room and within few minutes, your room will smell fresh or simply use a spray bottle to spray it around your home.
Kitchen sink Cleaner: Mix half cup of vinegar, half cup of baking soda and 5 drops of bergamot and lime essential oil. Mix it well and pour this mixture in the sink. Then using a sponge scrub and in the end rinse with warm water. It will make your sink clean and will also deodorize it.
Mice: Peppermint essential oil is the best to keep away mice, spider, insects, squirrel etc. Pour water in a spray bottle and add few drops of peppermint oil. Spray this mixture at the entrance of your hose to prevent them.
Iron: Take a spray bottle and add few drops of lavender oil into it. Sprinkle it on your clothes for perfect crease-less ironing and it will also add a nice natural scent.
Mold Killer: Molds are very common around the house and tea tree essential oil is considered as best germ killer. So, take a spray bottle and fill it with one cup of water and add 1 tsp. of tea tree oil into it. Spritz this on the affected area like cracks of shower or tub area and allow it to dry. Do not wipe, it will kill the molds and will also prevent them from coming back.
Pet Odors: Geranium and Lemongrass essential oils are two best oils to get rid of unwanted pet odors. Rinse the area using your regular cleaner but also add 10 drops of any essential oil. It will disperse even the stronger pet odor and will leave your area smelling good and pleasant.
Furniture spray: Instead of using chemical sprays, you can make your own furniture dusting spray using essential oil. Mix 2 tbsp. of olive oil, 10 drops of lemon essential oil with half cup of vinegar. Keep this mixture in a spray bottle and use it to wipe of the furniture. It will not only dust the area but it will also disinfect it.
Natural Disinfectant: Use a paper towel soaked with several drops of Lemon or tea tree essential oil oil to sanitize and disinfect bathroom fixtures and toilet seats.
