I have always had this problem of cuticle skin peeling and causing pain. I was a nail biter for years but got rid of the habit 7 years back, and along with nails I always used to pick at peeling cuticles which caused a lot of pain. Dry and damaged cuticles can be quite painful and look unsightly. You can stop your cuticles from peeling without much effort. Here are some tips to stop your cuticles from peeling:

"HowLEMON AND HONEY

Add juice of half a lemon and 1 teaspoon honey to a bowl or warm water. Soak your hands in it for 5 minutes and rinse it off using cool tap water. Dry your hands and apply vitamin E oil, olive oil or a good moisturizer in order to keep your cuticles soft and moisturized.

ALOE VERA

Aloe vera gel moisturizes your cuticles and soothes inflammation. It also has a cooling effect on the skin. It is antimicrobial that keeps infections at bay and helps peeling cuticles with regular usage. Take out fresh gel from the aloe vera leaf and store it in a tiny jar to keep it handy. Rub it on the cuticles multiple times a day and do not rinse it off.

OLIVE OIL

Olive oil can be used as an overnight hand and cuticle treatment. It moisturizes your cuticles and also heal already peeled cuticle. Apply warm olive oil generously over the cuticles and hands and wear cotton hand gloves. Go to sleep and wake up to soft and moisturized hands and cuticles. Follow this every night to completely get rid of peeling cuticles.

BANANAS

Bananas can give your cuticles a boost of moisture and keep them soft. Mash a small quantity of banana and apply it around your nails and on the cuticles. Let it sit for 5 minutes and wash it off. Apply a moisturizer and you are done.
