SOUR CREAM<\/strong><\/p>\n Sour cream can be used to make your own buttermilk alternative. It tastes exactly the same and has similar nutrients too. All you need is 1 cup sour cream and 1 cup water. Always take these 2 ingredients in equal quantities and make it according to your required portions. Add sour cream in water and give it a good stir. Tada! Your buttermilk alternative is ready.<\/p>\n YOGHURT<\/strong><\/p>\n Just like sour cream, you can make your own buttermilk alterative using yoghurt. Plus, it tastes the exact same like buttermilk and contains beneficial bacteria too! Take yoghurt and water in equal quantities. Add yoghurt to water and give it a good mix. Use it like you would use buttermilk.<\/p>\n WHEY<\/strong><\/p>\n Whey won\u2019t look as white buttermilk but it tastes similar and also has the same nutrients. To make this buttermilk alternative, you need 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or white vinegar and 1 cup milk. Pour milk in a jar and add lemon juice or vinegar to it. Stir and let it stand for 30 minutes. It is ready to be used. You may also boil the milk and immediately add lemon or vinegar to it. The whey will separate out and you can filter. The remaining cottage cheese can be used in your recipes.<\/p>\n
