Start with a base of arrowroot powder (1 tsp. for dark skin \u2013 1 Tbs. for light skin). Add in the combination of the cocoa powder, cinnamon, or nutmeg until you reach your desired tone. If you want to make a \u201ccompact\u201d foundation, add some jojoba\/olive\/almond oil to the mixture and press down into a compact. Use a brush to apply this homemade foundation. Make sure to tap off excess before application.<\/p>\n
Take a tbsp of cinnamon, a tsp of nutmeg and a tsp of cocoa powder, add it to arrowroot powder. Adjust the levels of ingredients to your shade and mix well in a small bowl, until it\u2019s smooth. Place the powder in a clean, empty compact and pack it in firmly.<\/p>\n
To make an eyeliner, mix equal parts of coconut oil and shea\u00a0butter (about 1\/2 ounce of each) and add about 1\/2 tsp of activated charcoal to make a black eyeliner that is thicker. You can also do this with cocoa powder for a brown hue.<\/p>\n
To make a red lip gloss, you need \u00bc cup beeswax, \u00bc cup castor oil and 2 tablespoons beet juice or beet powder. Melt beeswax, remove from heat and add oils. Add as much beet juice as desired for colour. Store in a jar.<\/p>\n
To make this blush, you need 1\/2 teaspoon Arrowroot powder, \u00a01\/2 teaspoon Hibiscus Powder or beet powder and an air-tight container for storage. You will have to experiment with quantities of each ingredient to find the right shade for your skin tone. Always start with a base of about 1\/2 tsp of arrowroot and then darken as needed, testing on your skin as you go.<\/p>\n
