EPSOM SALT

Epsom salts can feel like a miracle in a bag when you need a little help relaxing. A few cups added to warm bath can serve many purposes all-in-one! Not only is it incredibly relaxing, but it’s also a great way to get a transdermal source of magnesium, and can help ease you into going to bed early. Simply add 1-4 cups of Epsom salt to a bath.

SHOWER GEL

One of my bathroom essentials is the shower gel (or the bath gel) because I don’t use soap. I go to shower gels and bath gels for comfort in my busy, hectic days because they are in liquid form and work wonders with water. Plus they usually come in calming and soothing scents so I get extra uplifting whiffs every time I use them.

NATURAL FACE SCRUB

I have this face scrub I made in the bathroom which gently exfoliates and brightens my face. Regular usage helps prevent acne too. Just combine 3 tablespoons orange peel powder with 3 tablespoons lemon peel powder and store in a jar. Take a little amount in your hand and mix with little water to make a paste; scrub you face with it and wash. Make sure you make a small batch everytime as constant exposure to humidity in bathroom can encourage growth of fungus and spoil your scrub.

CASTILE SOAP

From making your own DIY hand soap/shampoo/face wash, adding a tiny bit to the bath, or even using it to clean your tub, toilet, sink and counter (with a little baking soda), castile soap comes in super handy. It’s also ultra-concentrated, so a little bit goes a LONG ways in your natural product arsenal.

SHOWER CAP

Shower caps are incredibly useful and definitely a must in any bathroom. When you take a shower you have to get creative when it comes to not getting your hair wet. You can put it up in a ponytail or bun, but water would somehow always splash it and the steam would make kinks in the hair. Shower caps are miracle workers because you can put them over your hair without even having to put your hair up and it completely protects all your hair from the water.

COCONUT OIL

One of the best products to keep in your shower is coconut oil. Coconut oil is a miracle beauty product, use coconut oil to rinse your mouth, use it to shave your legs, a few drops of coconut oil in your body wash for smoother skin or in your shampoo for shiny hair. Mix coconut oil with sugar for an amazing face and body scrub.

BABY POWDER

Baby powder has SO many uses, even if you don’t have children. From helping heal a rash, to making your eyelashes look longer, it is something you NEED in your bathroom. You can also use it as a dry shampoo when you are running out of time. All you have to do is sprinkle a little in your hair on the roots and you’ve got yourself some homemade dry shampoo. Plus, this stuff lasts way longer than a commercial dry shampoo ever will.
