GINGER TEA<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ginger tea is the best way to consume ginger. That way it gets easily absorbed by the body. To make ginger tea, simmer 3\/4 teaspoon (0.5 to 1.0 grams) of chopped ginger in 1 cup of hot water for five minutes in a closed teapot. You may also add honey to it for taste. GINGER RICE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cook basmati rice. When you take the lid off the pan, quickly stir in finely chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies and fresh cilantro leaves- the burst of flavour and fragrance will drive your senses crazy with desire! Not only will it improve the taste of rice but will also improve your immunity and prevent infections.<\/p>\n

GINGER CANDY<\/strong><\/p>\n

To make herbal candy you will need 1 cup of prepared ginger tea (you may increase the amount of ginger if a stronger flavour is desired) and 1 1\/2 cups of sugar. Stir together well in a deep, heavy saucepan. Boil over medium to medium-high heat, without further stirring, until mixture reaches 300 degrees F.<\/p>\n

GINGER OIL<\/strong><\/p>\n

To make the oil, place several pinches or spoonfuls of ground ginger in a small jar. Pour olive oil or sweet almond oil over the spice. Shake well and allow infusing for several weeks in a cool, dark place. Shake daily so that the powder doesn\u2019t settle in one big clump in the bottom of the jar. After about four to six weeks, strain out the oil and store in a sterilized jar with a tight cap. This will keep about a year if stored properly. You may use this oil topically for several conditions like inflammation, aches, pains etc.<\/p>\n

Ginger has been used for thousands of years as an effective digestive aid and natural remedy for nausea<\/strong>. Eating whole ginger, drinking fresh ginger juice<\/strong> and inhaling diffused ginger essential oil are all highly effective ways to curb stomach disorders.<\/p>\n

Fresh ginger, grated or pureed, brings wonderful zest to hot, creamy winter soups. If you have cough or cold or sore throat, add extra ginger powder, pureed ginger or ginger flakes to the soup. The taste of ginger should be prominent for it to be effective.<\/p>\n
