If you’re not supposed to put anything on your face that you wouldn’t eat, then take it to a whole level by using food to clean your face. It actually works! If you are worried of using chemicals on your face and just cannot take up water-only washing, you should probably try using natural alternatives- food! They work amazing and far better than commercial face cleansers. Have a look at some alternatives:

"WASHBANANA – ANTI AGING SKIN

You can use a banana as an all-natural face mask that moisturizes your skin and leaves it looking and feeling softer. Mash up a medium-sized ripe banana into a smooth paste, then gently apply it to your face and neck. Let it set for 10-20 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water. Another popular mask recipe calls for 1/4 cup plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 medium banana.

HONEY – ACNE PRONE SKIN

Honey is a wondrous ingredient with antibacterial and moisturizing properties. Rub it undiluted into your face to cleanse and soften. In order to dissolve makeup, blend with a gentle oil such as jojoba or coconut. All the stickiness rinses away with warm water.

OATMEAL – SOOTHE SKIN

If you’re looking for a quick pick-me-up that will leave you feeling and looking better, give yourself an oatmeal cleanse. Combine 1/2 cup hot water and 1/3 cup oatmeal. After the water and oatmeal have settled for two or three minutes, mix in 2 tablespoons plain yogurt, 2 table-spoons honey, and 1 small egg white. Apply a thin layer of the mixture to your face; let it sit for a minute and massage. Then rinse with warm water.

LEMON JUICE – BRIGHTEN SKIN

This is a fantastic addition to just about any mask. Talk about brightening! Lemon juice tightens up pores, cuts through oil (just like with dishes), and squeaky cleans your face to a nice, bright shine. You can put it directly on your face (wash off within 5 minutes, so you don’t over-lemon yourself) or add it to an egg-white mask.

MAYONNAISE – SMOOTH SKIN

Why waste money on expensive creams when you can treat yourself to a soothing facial with whole-egg mayonnaise from your own refrigerator? Gently spread the mayonnaise over your face and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Then wipe it off and rinse with cool water. Your face will feel clean and smooth.

EGG – FIRM SKIN

For a little pampering, head to the refrigerator and grab an egg. If you have dry skin that needs moisturizing, separate the egg and beat the yolk. Oily skin takes the egg white, to which a bit of lemon or honey can be added. For normal skin, use the entire egg. Apply the beaten egg, relax and wait 30 minutes, then rinse. You’ll love your new fresh face.

YOGHURT OR SOUR CREAM – DEEP CLEAN SKIN

Make sure it’s plain, without any flavouring. Rub it into your face and rinse, or leave it on the skin for several minutes. The lactic acid and probiotics in yogurt nourish and cleanse gently. You can mix with honey in order to make an antibacterial cleanser.

OLIVE, SWEET ALMOND, GRAPE SEED AND COCONUT OILS – GLOWING SKIN

Pour a bit of oil onto a cotton ball in order to wipe away makeup and refresh your face. You can also use the multi-step oil cleansing method to wash, purify, and moisturize your skin. Add a spoonful of brown sugar or baking soda for extra abrasion, if you wish.
