There are plenty of “old wives tales” around how to treat the common problem of stained skin as a result from dyeing hair. If you can act quickly, your best bet is to lightly wet a cotton ball with some warm water and gently wipe the “slipped” hue away before it can set into the skin. USING BAKING SODA :<\/strong><\/p>\n

Baking soda has the property to remove the dead skin due to its abrasive nature. Make a paste using 2 teaspoon of baking soda, 2 teaspoon of water and 2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Apply it on the stain and scrub gently till the stain is vanished!<\/p>\n

USING TOOTHPASTE: <\/strong><\/p>\n

It will seem a weird option to some people but the scrubbing crystals present in the toothpaste works as a skin scraper and removes the dead skin. Toothpaste does not suit all skin types but it provides a soft and non-irritating effect. You can apply the toothpaste over the stain and keep for a minute followed by washing with warm water. If the stain doesn\u2019t come out, you may apply some more toothpaste.<\/p>\n

USING PETROLEUM JELLY:<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is one of the safest home remedies to remove the dye stain. Petroleum jelly is used as a protective and emollient. It softens the skin and forms a protective layer and is also used as a moisturizer due to its protective nature. Just apply petroleum jelly over the stain and rub gently to remove the stain. If the stain is highly permeated, apply petroleum jelly overnight and wipe it off in the morning.<\/p>\n

USING NAIL POLISH REMOVER: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Use nail polish remover to remove hair dye stains from nails. There is a significant ingredient present in the nail polish remover which is acetone. Acetone works on same principle as baking soda. It removes the dead skin and the abrasive effect clears off the stain. Saturate the cotton ball with nail polish remover and keep it on the stain for few minutes followed by washing with water. Rub baby oil across the stain before you go to sleep and wash it off the following morning. The baby oil breaks down the dye, making it easier to wash off.<\/p>\n
