Tasty Tawa Pulao Recipe

Tawa pulao is a popular rice dish especially in Mumbai prepared with different vegetables and pav bhaji masala which gives it a lot of flavor. It is generally made on a griddle or a tawa as per preference hence the name Tawa Pulao. It is easy to prepare and makes a satisfying one pot meal for lunch or dinner. Tawa Pulao tastes delicious alone and goes well with curd or any type of raita. It is prepared quite often at my home and is loved by all. Addition of different types of vegetable makes it even healthier and the pav bhaji masala gives it the unique delectable taste.

Tasty Tawa Pulao RecipeTips-

  • While cooking rice make sure not to overcook it as we want the grains to be cooked yet firm and separated.
  • Mix in rice with the vegetables gently to prevent the long rice grains from breaking.
  • You can use vegetables of your choice and can also go ahead and add boiled cauliflower and potatoes as well.
  • Adding garam masala is optional, I added it for some extra flavor but it also can be skipped.
  • It can also be prepared with leftover rice making the process more quick and easy.
  • Tawa pulao tastes great on its own as well can be served with some curd or a raita.
