Sivanna Cosmetics Shining Star shimmer brick-shade 02 is on my review table today and before I begin let me tell this shimmer brick was my random haul and I seriously did not expect anything while buying it! Having said that, let me also add in the same breath that I am so happy I picked it up because It is such a steal and why, well! That’s for you to know while you read on.
Sivanna Cosmetics Shining Star Shimmer Bricks is basically a highlight palette. This purchase as I said was totally an impulsive one. I was just window shopping on Flipkart and I happened to notice this beauty. I placed the order immediately. Sivanna is basically a Thai drugstore brand which makes dupes of high-end cosmetics. It highly resembles the Bobbi Brown’s cult classic shimmer bricks and priced at very less rates.
Packaging: It comes in a black thin cardboard outer pack with Professional makeup shining star shimmer brick written on it. The inner package comes in a sleek black outer cover which transparent in the middle aiding us to get a glimpse of the colors inside. The lid opens one side and reveals the gorgeous 5 shades of the brick. The shimmer brick is light and compact and fits easily into a pouch too.
Sivanna Cosmetics Shining Star Shimmer Bricks: So there are 5 shades, going by the order top to bottom,
- The first one is a white gold shade meant for highlighting. It sure seems more white but after blending it leaves a gold shine behind.
- The next is a baby pink shimmer. A very fresh color that goes very well as a blush to apply on the apple of your cheeks.
- The third one is a bronze color with subtle shimmer, acts well as a bronzer.
- Fourth one is an amazing champagne shade that woks very well on all skin tone as a highlighter. This shade is my favorite of the lot.
- Fifth one is a darkest bronze color, it is similar to the 3rd color but darker than that.
So all in all the shimmer brick contains all the colors that we usually need as a highlighter and blush. You can use the brick individually or just swipe the brush on the whole and apply. The color comes out amazingly beautiful.
Pigmentation: The colors are unbelievably pigmented, I am not kidding here, I was really surprised as I truly did not expect much in terms of pigmentation simply because of its price but I was pleasantly surprised.
