Maybelline has launched their all new Spring 2015 collection in India called Rebel Bouquet consisting of all different kinds of products like foundation, powder and lipsticks. I was amazed to see the summery lip colors they had and picked up the shade REB07 which I will review today.

My Experience: The lipstick comes in a square packaging with a colorful coral red cap. The packaging is very attractive and sturdy and the color coded sticker at base is an advantage. This range has six new shades of lipsticks all from different color families. I was instantly attracted toward the color REB07 which is most wearable of the bunch. But I was disappointed to see that these lipsticks do not have any names, they are just numbered which is confusing.
The shade REB07 is a soft rose pink color which looks very natural on the lips. It is a very easy to wear shade which will complement all skin tones and lot makeup looks as well. The color is free from any shimmer.
It has a creamy and hydrating texture that glides so smoothly on the lips without any efforts. I can happily skip a lip balm underneath due to the moisturizing properties. It has a slightly glossy finish which is not over the top and prevents the lips from feeling dry later. It does not settle into the lines or get patchy.
Pigmentation of this shade is really good considering it’s a light color. The lipstick goes completely opaque covering pigmentation and unevenness on the lips with 2-3 swipes. Due to the glossy finish it transfers to cups and glasses but the color is still there on the lips with mild fading. It has a decent staying power of 3-4 hours before touching up and fades evenly.
