Essential oils are incorporated in a lot of skin care products these days and they are super effective for a number of skin issues. Natural skin care is incomplete without potent oils but they are ften expensive. how about making your own oil? Here we are with a recipe for homemade lemon oil:
RECIPE FOR LEMON OIL:
Things you need-
- Fresh lemon zest/lemon peel powder
- Olive oil or Jojoba oil or Almond oil
Directions-
In a jar, add few tablespoons of lemon powder or lemon zest. Lemon powder works the best here because it is made from dried lemon peel which is rich in oils. Add in olive oil and make sure the lemon powder or zest is fully covered.
Secure the jar with a lid and keep the jar in direct sunlight for about 2 weeks. Strain the oil and your homemade lemon oil is ready!

TO USE –
Brighten skin – . Lemon oil also works in rejuvenating dull skin. Its astringent and detoxifying properties help in reducing excess sebum secretion, shrinking open pores, controlling acne or pimples. Add few drops of lemon oil to your face wash or in your face cream to help deep clean skin, clear acne and brighten complexion. Add 10-12 drops of Lemon Oil in 1 cup of water. Soak a cotton ball in it and gently wipe your skin after face wash.
Soften corns and rough feet – Apply lemon oil to your hardened skin conditions, and the lemon oil will soften the skin.
Disinfectant – Lemon oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties, which makes it a good cleaner. Add 40 drops lemon oil to 8 oz pure distilled water and 8 oz witch hazel or white vinegar to clean the moldy shower and countertops.
Whiten teeth – Mix 1 tsp of baking soda, few drops of lemon essential oil and 1 tsp of coconut oil together to make a paste. Rub the same on the teeth for about a minute and then use normal water for rinsing it off. You will see white teeth in no time at all.
Dandruff and stop hair fall – Add a few drops in your shampoo or use it in these DIY hair spray recipes to stop hair fall and promote hair growth.
