Below is an easy and effective homemade cold remedy that you could try:
Apple cider vinegar- Has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. Soothes throat and treats cold and cough.
Honey- Has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Soothes irritated and inflamed throat and respiratory tract.
Lemon- Balances the natural microbiota of throat and helps treat respiratory infections.
RECIPE FOR APPLE CIDER VINEGAR DRINK:
Things you need-
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon organic honey
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
To make this cold remedy, you need 1 cup of warm water, 1 tablespoon of organic raw honey, 2 tablespoons of organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar and juice of half a lemon.Combine all the ingredients in 1 cup and give it a good stir. Consume in the morning.
Herbal steam: Simmer some water in a pan. Remove from the heat and add in few drops of eucalyptus essential oil and rosemary essential oil. Hold your face over the steam and cover your head with a bath towel. Inhale the steam for 5 minutes.
