Things you need: You need 1 cup water, 2 tsp dried green tea and 2 tsp dried or fresh mint.

Method: Bring water to a gentle boil. Pour water over green tea and mint leaves. Steep covered for 10 minutes to prevent the volatile oils from escaping. Strain leaves, pour into your favourite cup, and enjoy.

CHAMOMILE TEA

If you get migraine attack, have chamomile tea instantly to get relief. Chamomile tea has compounds that help ease pain and relax you.

Things you need: you need 5 dried plums, 1 tablespoon of green tea, and 2 tablespoons of mint.

Method: Boil 5 dried plums (prunes), 1 tablespoon of green tea, and 2 tablespoons of mint in 3.5 cups of water for 15 minutes. Drink no more than 3 cups a day when you get a headache until the pain subsides.

CINNAMON TEA

Headaches can be due to various reasons and if migraine or cold are the reasons then, have cinnamon tea. Cinnamon is a rich source of manganese, fibre, iron, and calcium which makes it an effective home remedy to cure headache and other health problems.

Things you need: All you need is ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder and handful of lavender flowers.

Method: Pour 1 cup boiling water over a handful of fresh lavender flowers and ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Steep for 30-60 minutes and strain. Stir in a teaspoon of honey for sweetness, if desired. Enjoy warm!

Note: if you don’t have lavender flowers, you may use only cinnamon as well.

BASIL TEA

A strong-scented herb which is used for natural headache treatment, it has many analgesic benefits. Basil herb is an excellent antispasmodic, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and a muscle relaxant apart from having many other properties. There are many ways you can use basil to get relief from migraine.

Method: You can put 3 or 4 fresh basil leaves in a cup of boiling water and let it simmer. Add a little honey and sip the tea slowly. You can also chew some fresh basil leaves, or inhale the steam after boiling basil in a pot of water.
