Leather:

Don’t fret if nail polish is spilled on your favorite leather sofa or cloth and you don’t need to spend money on drying. You can get rid of the stain by simply apply non-acetone nail polish remover on the area and then wiping it off using cotton swap. Soak the stained area with nail polish remover for at least 20- seconds and then wipe. Repeat if the stain is not gone.

Wood:

If nail polish is spilled on your wooden furniture than don’t panic as you can get rid of it without running the furniture finish. Just spritz plenty of hair spray on the area and allow it to set for 20-25 seconds. The spill will loosen and then you can wipe it off with a cloth. If the stain is not gone then repeat it again if required. It’s the best way to get rid of nail polish stain without running the furniture finish instantly. Hair spray contains alcohol content which helps in removing the stain.

Clothes:

Use clean white cloth or paper towels and blot the fabric. Using a q-tip and apply acetone or nail polish remover over the stain. Rinse with clear water. Hairspray also works wonders to get id of nail polish from fabric.

Hair:

If the nail paint is dried then use hair conditioner or oil and apply it on the strand. With the help of oil the nail polish will slide off easily from the strand.

Wall:

If nail polish is spilled on your wall then don’t panic as you can get rid of it without running the paint. Take a sponge and pour rubbing alcohol on the scrubby side of the sponge. Now scrub the wall gently and soak the stain for about 20 seconds. If the stain is not gone the repeat this procedure while the area is not cleaned. If you don’t have rubbing alcohol then you can use a mixture of soap and water to get rid of the stain. But alcohol works faster.

Carpet:

To get rid of nail polish stains from carpet you first need to blot the area with a paper towel. Then put some makeup remover and blot the stain again. Repeat and blot for 2-3 times. When the color stops coming out on the cloth and if there is more color left on the carpet then wash the area with mixture of soap and water. It’s the easiest and cheapest way to get rid of nail polish stains without damaging the fabric.
