Ever since I started using the Garnier Ultra Blends conditioners, I just cannot take my hands off my hair! Garnier has come up with some amazing new shampoos and conditioners under the name ‘Ultra blends’ and I have used almost all of the conditioners; I certainly have not used the shampoos since I don’t use shampoo at all, so i tested the shampoos on my mother’s hair. MY TAKE ON GARNIER ULTRA BLENDS REVITALIZING CONDITIONER 5 PRECIOUS HERBS
Packaging: The conditioner comes in a standard ‘ultra blends; packaging. Sleek and flat plastic tube with flip open cap. This particular conditioner is light green in colour while other conditioners in this variant have different colours according to their type. Since it contains 5 herbs, it is pictorially represented on the packaging. Overall, the product is pretty and travel friendly.
Texture: I really loved the texture of this conditioner. It is not slippery like the usual conditioners; it is creamy and gel-like.
Fragrance: I will tell you a short story here- when I was a kid, I used to play with tiny utensils and make fake food using leaves and grass (I obviously never consumed it!). Since we had neem plant and lemon tree on our home garden, we always used it (we here refers to me and my cousins). I used to crush the neem leaves and lemon juice to it. This conditioner reminded me of that fragrance! Strong neem and lemon essence it has, but it does not stay for long. If you sniff it deeply, only then you can smell it. Sorry for the long story, but I had to share it in order to properly describe the fragrance :p
How I use and after-effects: After water-washing or BS washing, I rinse my hair with apple cider vinegar and then apply this conditioner. I only need 1 dollop of this conditioner as I use it from shoulder-downwards. As soon as you begin applying, the conditioner will vanish totally and you won’t be able to feel anything on the hair! this is a good thing because it proves it has no/less silicones. I quickly checked the ingredients and I did not find any silicone or silicone derivate mentioned in the ingredients list. I feel commercial conditioners do contain silicone even if it is not mentioned on the pack, so even if this contains silicones, it should be very less. After rising out the conditioner, hair felt sleek and smooth. After air drying, my hair was very much manageable and looked really healthy; and mind it- it looked that way till the next hair wash; and I wash my hair only on Sundays J
