I recently got few products from The Body Shop Tea Tree range and I will be reviewing the clay mask from this range. Clay masks are ideal for oily and acne prone skin since they soak up excess oil and since this mask contains tea tree oil, it dries out blemishes and prevents the new ones from blowing out. MY TAKE ON THE BODY SHOP TEA TREE SKIN CLEARING CLAY MASK
Packaging: The mask comes in a pretty tub packaging. The tub is made up of plastic and the screw cap lid too. I wish they provided a small spatula with it since I find it unhygienic to dip my fingers in the tub everytime I want to apply the mask. The lid fits perfectly and the jar is travel friendly.
Texture: The Mask is very creamy and thick. Even if the mask is thick, it spreads easily.
Fragrance: The mask has a strong tea tree smell which might bother sensitive noses. Although once the mask is applied, the fragrance fades.
How I use and after-effects: After using The Body Shop Tea Tree Squeaky Clean Scrub, I use this face mask. I take a small amount and spread it on my entire face leaving the sensitive eye area. I experienced severe cooling sensation which started feeling warm after few minutes. I thought maybe I am experiencing a skin reaction but then the warm feeling went away after few minutes. The mask takes some time to completely dry- about 20-25 minutes. I washed off the mask after 25 minutes and my skin felt very soft and squeaky clean. I could feel a new pimple coming up but the mask totally healed the pimple even before it could appear on the skin surface! I feel this mask has even reduced the appearance of white heads around my nose. This mask is really strong and can be used as a spot treatment as well.
