Baking soda tops the list for one of the most effective home remedies for dry, itchy skin. Add one cup of baking soda to a tub of warm water and soak in the bath for 15-30 minutes. After the bath, gently pat your skin dry with a towel or allow yourself to air-dry.
To treat a specific area of dry, itchy skin, you can make a mixture of three part water to one part baking soda. Soak a wash cloth in it and  apply to the affected area, rinse off after a couple of minutes.

BODY OIL
Coconut oil helps to restore moisture back to the skin. When using coconut oil to treat dry, itchy skin, the oil should be applied after a bath or shower when the skin is warm and supple. This helps to ensure that the oil will be adequately absorbed by the skin.
